Parent Support Group

Parent support groups are facilitated by a parent of a special needs child and a parent counselor. These groups can provide you an opportunity to connect with other parents. Learn from each other as you share common experiences, concerns, joys and successes.

Classes are offered in several areas of the community in Spanish and English. Childcare is provided.

Sensory Group

Young children learn through play. For some of our children with multi-impairments, play is more difficult and these skills are harder to learn. We have a new room on our site that is full of lights, textures, sounds and smells.
The Multi-Sensory Room is a unique place that provides a multi-sensory approach to learning. The Sensory Room exposes the child to vibrations through the sounds and the beat of music, stimulates vision and provides a variety of tactile experiences. Children can also develop a sense of cause and effect by using switches. They can increase the opportunities for making choices and learn how to relax their bodies.
